Since my walls are so big and empty, I've been creating a wall decal by cutting out shapes in contact paper. This is what I've got so far, and I'll probably add more later.

That's amazing. I totally would do something like that if I had the time/patience and wouldn't have to paint over it as soon as I moved out.

It's just shelf paper cut out with an xacto knife. Not hard to make - just time consuming. There's a lot of cool wall decals you can buy, but they're kind of pricey. www.whatisblik.com has some cool ones, for example.
In Germany they call the ass antlers.
